Use place records to build a geographic shortlist, then validate individual sites using local evidence. POI counts alone do not measure customer demand, revenue or market share.

Workflow

1. Select the country or US state and inspect address/category fill rates.
2. Download a public sample and identify the source vocabulary used in entity_type.
3. Load the CSV, retain records with usable coordinates and map candidate places.
4. Compare candidate areas using a consistent definition and check missingness.
5. Verify occupancy, access and current operating status independently before a site decision.

Building geometry may represent a nearby footprint. Foot traffic and revenue are not part of the current POI product. No customer outcomes or case-study results are asserted.
