Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Devintel LLC ("DevIntel", "we", "us") collects through devintel.io and shop.devintel.io, how we use it, and the choices you have. It also explains how we handle information about people that appears in our datasets.

In short

We collect only what we need to take and fulfil your order.
We don't sell your personal information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics cookies.
Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
Email info@devintel.io to access, correct or delete your information.

1. Information we collect

When you place an order, you give us:

your name, work email, company, and optionally your main use case, country and tax ID;
for invoice orders, an accounts payable email and an optional purchase order number;
the datasets and states you're buying.

When you pay by card, Stripe collects your payment details and billing address on its own secure page. Stripe shares with us the payment status, amount and tax, but not your full card number.

When you email us, including through "Request a dataset" or "Notify me", we receive your email address and whatever you write.

Automatically. Like most websites, our servers and hosting providers process your IP address and basic request details (such as browser type and the page requested) to deliver the Sites, keep them secure and limit abuse. For invoice orders, the IP address the order came from is included in the order email we receive.

In your browser. The shop keeps your cart and a copy of your order confirmations in your browser's local storage so they survive a page reload. This stays on your device, isn't sent to us except when you place an order, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. We don't set tracking cookies.

2. How we use it

to process, deliver and support your order, and send related emails such as download links and invoices;
to keep accounting and tax records;
to answer your questions and dataset requests;
to protect the Sites against fraud and abuse;
to comply with the law.

We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and our legal obligations. We don't use your information for automated decisions that affect you.

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business:

Stripe: card payments, receipts and sales tax;
Amazon Web Services: website hosting, and sending order emails to our team;
our email hosting provider: our info@devintel.io mailbox.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How long we keep it

The shop doesn't keep a customer database: order details are emailed to our team when you order. We keep order emails and payment records for as long as needed to fulfil and support your order and to meet tax and accounting obligations, typically up to seven years, and then delete them.

5. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) throughout, keep payment handling with Stripe, and limit access to order information to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us if you believe your information has been put at risk.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK and US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email info@devintel.io from the address on your order and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

7. People in our datasets

Our datasets describe businesses and places, compiled from publicly available sources such as state business registries and open map data. Some records can include personal information, for example where a business is registered in a person's name or at a home address. We collect this information responsibly, respecting robots.txt and site terms, and license it only for lawful business uses that exclude eligibility decisions about individuals.

If you appear in our data and want a record corrected or removed, email info@devintel.io with the details. We'll review your request, act on it in future releases where appropriate, and reply within 30 days.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

9. Children

The Sites are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

We'll post any changes here with a new effective date, and tell customers directly about significant changes.
