Terms of Service

Effective October 15, 2026

These terms cover your use of devintel.io and shop.devintel.io (the "Sites") and any purchase of data from Devintel LLC ("DevIntel", "we", "us"). By using the Sites or placing an order, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.

1. Who we are

DevIntel is operated by Devintel LLC, 5900 Balcones Dr Ste 38832, Austin, TX 78731, United States. You can reach us at info@devintel.io.

2. Who can buy

The Sites are for business use. To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the organization named on the order. You're responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, including the work email where we deliver your data.

3. Orders and pricing

  • Prices are shown in US dollars and include applicable taxes. Volume discounts shown at checkout apply automatically.
  • An order is a one-time purchase of a snapshot of the selected data, such as one or more states of the US Companies dataset. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
  • We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a price was shown in error or we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we refund it in full.

4. Payment

Card. Card payments are taken on a secure page operated by Stripe. Your card details never reach our servers. For card purchases, Stripe may act as the reseller or merchant of record and calculate and collect sales tax; in that case Stripe's terms also apply to the payment, and your receipt comes from Stripe.

Invoice. If you choose invoice, we email an invoice to the accounts payable address you provide, payable within 30 days. We may hold delivery until payment is received or verified.

5. Delivery

We deliver each purchased state as a CSV file through a secure download link, usually sent by email to the work email on the order. Download links can expire; if one does, email us for a new one. Keep the files secure once downloaded.

6. Refunds

Because data is a digital product delivered in full, purchases are final once the files are delivered. Before buying, please review the published schema, fill rates and free sample rows. If the delivered data materially differs from what was described, or we fail to deliver it, tell us within 14 days of the order and we will fix the problem or refund the affected part of the order.

7. Your license to the data

Purchased data is licensed, not sold, under the DevIntel Data License Agreement, which forms part of these terms. Free sample rows may be used to evaluate the data under the same restrictions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Sites or our data to:

  • break any law, including privacy, anti-spam, telemarketing and anti-discrimination laws;
  • make decisions about an individual's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or similar purposes. DevIntel is not a consumer reporting agency, and our data is not a consumer report;
  • harass, stalk, or threaten anyone;
  • interfere with the Sites, probe or bypass their security, or scrape them in bulk beyond normal browsing and purchasing.

9. About the data

Our datasets are compiled from publicly available sources, such as state business registries and open map data, and processed to a common schema. Public sources contain errors and change over time, so data may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate. Fill rates and samples show what to expect but are not a guarantee for every record.

10. Intellectual property

The Sites, their design and content, and the compilation, structure and selection of our datasets belong to DevIntel or its licensors. Nothing in these terms gives you rights beyond those stated here and in the Data License Agreement.

11. Disclaimer

Except as stated in section 6, the Sites and all data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevIntel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Sites or our data is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify DevIntel against claims arising from your use of our data in breach of these terms, the Data License Agreement, or applicable law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order. We'll post changes here with a new effective date.
