Geospatial Analysis with POI Coordinates & WKT

Use latitude/longitude to map places and the WKT geometry field to explore matched building footprints. Both use WGS84 (EPSG:4326).

Workflow

1. Read the CSV using a parser that supports quoted multiline cells.
2. Check coordinate ranges and missing values.
3. Distinguish place coordinates from a matched building polygon.
4. Reproject to a suitable local projected CRS before area/distance operations, or use geodesic methods.
5. Inspect source coverage and deduplication limitations before interpreting counts.

A nearest-building match within about 50 metres can occur; a match is not proof of occupancy. See the schema and coordinate documentation.
